Nova has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Washington, and she is a Qualified Mental Health Professional in Oregon. She was born and raised in Portland, and recently moved back to the area after attending graduate school in Seattle. She has worked in Washington, Oregon, and California with children of all ages, as well as their families and broader support systems.
Nova’s approach to working with individuals living with ADHD is person-centered and strengths-based. She believes that every person knows themselves better than anyone else, and that a therapist’s job is to help nurture a client’s strengths to cope with difficulties, and walk alongside them as they learn and grow. Nova sees the family system as an essential part of that process, and always encourages the whole family to work together to support the child’s progress. Nova is guided by a core belief that everyone is capable of growth and change, even in the hardest moments when it can feel nearly impossible.
