Mental Health Graduate Student Intern (QMHA)
Hours per week will be dictated by Internship requirements as set forth by the graduate program and agreed upon in the placement agreement signed by the graduate program, the student, and administration of ADHD CFS.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Mental Health Graduate Intern provides specialized ADHD-focused outpatient mental health treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Responsibilities include the following:
● Group facilitation
● Activity or behavioral therapy
● Co-facilitated intakes with a QMHP or LPC/LMFT
● Case management
● Attendance at weekly individual supervision and bimonthly group supervision.
● Timely filing of paperwork
The Mental Health Graduate Student Intern is responsible for maintaining the clinical record of each client and ensuring documentation meets all compliance standards set forth in organization policy. You will be joining a close-knit multidisciplinary team, and are expected to engage in weekly team meetings and regular group supervision/consultation.
REQUIREMENTS:
A typical background for the person who can fulfill the duties of this position is as follows:
● Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in counseling or a related field and has a current educational contract with their educational institution.
● Strong computer skills and ability to document activities in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
● Must be able to meet QMHA requirements under State of Oregon MHDD Division’s Administrative rules.
● Ability to pass a background check.
● Effective communicator
● Fluent in English language: speaking, reading, and writing. Highly preferred second language fluency: reading, writing, and speaking in therapeutic context.
