TJ holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University with emphasis in how the physical body and mind affect each other (biopsychological dynamics). He holds an additional master’s degree in Divinity from Multnomah Biblical Seminary with emphasis in the development of boys and adult men. TJ has completed doctoral level course work from Rosemead School of Psychology in developmental psychology and spiritual & psychological integration. His education and professional work have been both domestic and international, in countries such as Sweden, Germany, and the Ukraine. Within the last 30 years, TJ has worked professionally with youth and adults in Primary and Higher Education, Athletic Club Management & Fitness Training, Clinical Counseling, Life & Athletic Coaching, and served in the US Navy and religious Ministry. This experience informs TJ’s Whole Person approach to counseling and fills his reservoir of clinical application
TJ’s holistic approach recognizes each person is unique and functions within a connected system – mind, emotions, body, and spirit. He believes significant transformation happens when all four foundational pillars are considered. His driving passion is to foster the full potential in others. To help accomplish this, his therapeutic approach is eclectic using the best technique for the presenting issue drawn from foundations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, and current research in ADHD and its treatment.
