Advanced NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Practitioner located in Tigard, OR
Olga Ward is an advanced neurofeedback provider. She offers unique skills in cutting-edge technology called NeurOptimal®. This non-drug non-invasive modality has been used by millions of children and adults to optimize the brain and improve the brain’s functioning.
Olga is a parent to a biological and an adopted child. She knows first hand what life is like parenting children with special needs. In fact, it was the challenge of her own parenting that forced her to look for alternative options such as neurofeedback. In addition to being an adoptive parent, Olga is also a respite foster care provider to children in DHS custody. For the last 6+ years Olga has been passionate about learning about the brain, developmental trauma, and the effects of trauma on the brain.
Because she has seen the effectiveness of neurofeedback on her own children, she is passionate about helping other families. Many NeurOptimal® users report life changing results. It has helped improve the lives of children with ADHD diagnosis, as an alternative treatment for concussion symptoms/traumatic brain injuries, insomnia & sleep difficulties, addictions, anxiety, depression, and more.
Working With Olga
We start with an assessment of your child’s (or the parents) needs. Your very first in-take appointment would typically take about 1 hour to an hour and 15 minutes to review your goals and answer questions as well as for the neurofeedback session itself. The actual full session of neurofeedback is 33 minutes. The follow-up appointments are approximately 45 minutes long. For parents bringing their children to neurofeedback I offer to split the very first session in half (15 minutes each) and allow the adult to try neurofeedback on themselves first. This allows children who might be a little nervous to see their parents enjoy the session before getting one themselves. My goal is to make you (and your child) as comfortable as possible. If you have any special requests or need accommodations, please tell me!
